Your support increases international understanding through the cross-cultural artistic exchange
Residential art programs are a vital part of the contemporary art world. We invite you to join our efforts in supporting the mobility and creative development of artists and cultural professionals.
In 2020 L’AiR Arts marked its 5th year serving the international artistic community. The past several years have been remarkable for us, growing from a small residency at a historical artist studio in the French countryside to an international group residency in the heart of Paris. Since our inception in 2016, we have welcomed over 100 artists from more than 25 countries, giving them the time to reflect, meet, exchange ideas, conduct research, and present their work. We have been actively expanding our curated programs, building our network of experts, hosting virtual and public events, and establishing partnerships with relevant organizations. Thanks to everyone who has helped us on this journey, we were able to grant a fully-funded residency to 12 artists and extend partial scholarships to 18 artists and cultural professionals.
As a relatively young not-for-profit organization, L’AiR Arts needs your support in order to continue promoting intercultural and artistic exchange and help more artists and arts workers benefit from our residency programs.

Join us in the celebration of intercultural exchange through the arts as we move into the post-pandemic era.
The 2020s mark the centenary of one of the world’s most prolific periods of intercultural and artistic exchange - Les Années Folles, or the Roaring Twenties in Paris. Just like a century ago during the inter-war period of the École de Paris and the 1918 epidemic, the world is being greatly impacted by divisive politics and the COVID-19 pandemic. The arts sector, especially the field of arts residencies, which is by its very nature facilitating cultural mobility and exchange, is one of the hardest hit. Necessary travel restrictions and physical distancing regulations have already resulted in the closure of arts and cultural organisations and the disappearance of arts residencies across the world.
It is our hope that once the COVID-19 pandemic comes under control, arts residencies will play a critical role in the re-emergence of national, European, and international exchange, ultimately supporting global economy and solidarity. To support the recovery process, L’AiR Arts plans to host a series of international residency programs, that will offer inclusive cultural events, including open studios, talks and showcases. Curated by Paris-based and international artists and cultural professionals working in a wide spectrum of artistic disciplines, the idea is to revisit the cosmopolitan spirit that allowed the arts community to thrive in the beginning of the 20th century and to support international dialogue today.
