ioi Choi, Macau / France

ioi Choi is a 27-year-old interdisciplinary artist born and raised in Macau, S.A.R. Her domains include modelling, dance, choreography and painting.

ioi has a diverse repertoire in the world of performance, her latest experiences include choreographing and performing in Christian Louboutin’s “The Loubi Show” and “The Loubi Show II” in 2022, performing in musical artist Mara’s “Hot” MV in 2021 as well as Midas the Jagaban and DJ Lewis’s “I SEE U” MV in 2025.

ioi integrates her movement vocabulary into painting, using dance to translate bodily sensation into material form. Working on large-scale canvases—up to 200 x 600 cm—she moves across the surface with floor work techniques - contraction, bending, rolling, and stretching. The result is a layered, abstract composition that captures the physicality and rhythm of her choreographic process.
