Kacie Devaney is the founder of Kreation, a theatre company based in Paris. A playwright, dancer, choreographer, and actress, Kacie’s Kreations aim to inspire and expose.
Before moving to Paris in 2018, Kacie lived in New York City, where her dance and theater performances have been nominated several times in the "Best Choreography" and "Best Pieces" categories. Ms. Devaney’s original works have been featured in illustrious theatres and festivals in NYC including, The HERE arts center, The Fringe Festival, The Mark Morris Dance Center, The Robert Moss Theatre, Gibney Dance Center, The Down Town International Festival (DUTF) and the Mid-Town International theatre festival, (to name a few.) Kacie had the privilege of working with influential dancers and choreographers in New York, including JoLea Maffei (STEPS on Broadway), and Patrelle Dances' Frances Patrelle. She was invited to dance, choreograph and teach for Jennifer Mullers Company (The Works), Elisa Monte, Mark Morris Dance Center, East Ballet Academy and Gibney Dance (NYC). She continues to work closely with Broadway and film professionals Stephen Singer and and classical dancer and actress Julie Voshell. Her play The Great Forgotten was turned into a PILOT and is being prospected by notable television networks and producers. When Kacie isn’t creating she works part-time as a writer for the online publication Frenchly and teaches acting at The Bilingual Acting Workshop. Additionally, she offers one on one acting coaching and consultation to French artists looking to break into the New York City scene, along with acting and movement classes to businesses and Universities. |
