Pauline Fleury, France

Pauline Fleury is a young architect with a background in both design and research, working around the themes of inclusivity and precarity in the built environment.

She completed five years of study at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles, with a research specialty around gender-based inclusion in public spaces. She completed two Erasmus semesters at the Sapienza Università in Rome, writing a thesis on the impact of feminine representations in public spaces, which she extended as a design project for her final architectural project in France.

As part of her studies, she interned around various architecture studios in Paris, where she gained hands-on experience on the renovation of XXth century buildings. She also gained practical experience in research and curation, interning for the ACS and IPRAUS laboratories of the Belleville and Malaquais Architecture Schools.

Pauline joined L’AiR Arts to help with the rehabilitation project of the historic Atelier 11, last active artist studio at Cité Falguière, while gaining knowledge on cultural management and artistic curation, working in direct contact with the resident artists hosted at Atelier 11 and the Montparnasse artistic community. She plans to continue her career as an architectural researcher and curator.
