Cara Coombe, United Kingdom / Australia

Australian artist Cara Coombe graduated from the Queensland College of Art in 2018 with a Bachelor in Photography and was awarded the CR Kennedy Award for excellence in Photographic Art Practice in still and moving image. She recently completed her honours degree with the college and is exhibiting her first solo show in Melbourne in late 2020.

​Originally from the United Kingdom, Cara currently resides in South East Brisbane with her family, whom she is greatly influenced by. She has exhibited across Australia and in the United States and has been featured on global digital platforms as an emerging artist. Cara’s work sits within a biographical framework, exploring the concepts of gender, sexuality, mental health, and personal, family and socio-cultural identities.
