Clarence Tokley, USA / France
Clarence Tokley is a Paris-based filmmaker, producer, writer, actor and theatre director. A native of New Jersey, Clarence obtained a degree in History and Film Studies from Rutgers University, and attended the New York Film Academy in New York City. After moving to Paris to get a taste of the European style of storytelling, he fully immersed himself in the film industry. Some of his credits include Rush Hour 3, Truth in 24 (Audi Le Mans racing Doc), Exes, and the Cherry Orchard.
Clarence has also worked as an Assistant Director with the theatre company Theatre en Anglais and is a founder and co-director of the Big Funk Company that brings American theater to France. Clarence has a strong love for creating and collaboration and continues to work professionally in film and theatre with actors from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Clarence is also passionate about supporting others in their professional and personal growth, he teaches at the Bilingual Acting Workshop and works with children and youth, directing plays in local schools and camps in Paris and beyond. |
