Igor Tishin, Belarus / Belgium

Born in Belarus, since 2000 Igor Tishin lives and works in Brussels. Passed through the Social Realism school and later influenced by modernists and the French avant-garde, his works go beyond common aesthetic standards, combining techniques of conceptual art, abstraction, Surrealism and Dada, Expressionism, Futurism, and elements of comic-strip art. A participant of the 2005 Venice Biennale, Igor Tishin enjoys recognition in Belarus, Russia and Europe.
