Children Workshop: Magical Creatures
Presented as part of the L'AiR Arts program for children and youth
Led by Véronique Devoldère in partnership with the Paris College of Art
15h - 17h, Wednesday, June 29, 2022
Atelier 11 Cité Falguière, 75015 Paris

This workshop is inspired by the so-called "beast series', a collection of centaur-like creatures by the Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko. Despite their surrealism with charming, childlike features, some of Prymachenko's beasts came into existence in response to historical and political events experienced by the artist, including the First and the Second World Wars.
