Melody Spangaro, Australia
Melody Spangaro is an Australian artist who employs monochromatic drawing-based mark making, both gestural and formal, to document experience, memory and emotional responses to insignificant, natural environments. Dwelling on the often negative impact of mankind on the natural environment, addressing universal themes and anxieties resonating in the contemporary world. Melody is currently pursuing a Masters of Contemporary Art at The University of Melbourne where she was awarded the Stuart Black Memorial Scholarship for drawing excellence in 2019. Since 2015 she has exhibited in a number of solo and group shows and was selected as a finalist in the Miradas International Art Award 2018.
