Nikolay Koshelev, Russia / USA
L’AiR Arts is pleased to annonce the solo residency of the Russian artist Nikolay Koshelev as part of the restoration project of the last preserved atelier of the historical artists community of Cité Falguière in Paris.
Nikolay Koshelev was born in Moscow in 1987 info a family of artists. Koshelev graduated from the Stroganov State Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts in Moscow in 2010 and earned his MFA degree from the New York Academy of Art in 2014. His works were sold by Phillips auction house and on Cosmoscow art fair, as well as exhibited in numerous galleries, including Bahnhof (NYC). In 2021, Koshelev had his solo exhibition in the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow) - the youngest living artist in history to do so. “The Moon Pool. Archives” presented the work of a fictitious Russian émigré artist, focusing on the theatrical production of Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes. To address the early 20th century cultural heritage and to honour the legacy of the Cité Falguière’s artistic community, Nikolay Koshelev will present his solo show Moon Pool / Paris Period at the Atelier 11 in November 2021. |
