Rahma Khazam

Dr. Rahma KHAZAM is a Paris-based art historian, critic and researcher affiliated to Institut ACTE, Sorbonne Paris 1. She received her Ph.D. from the Sorbonne in aesthetics and art theory. Her research spans the fields of modernism, contemporaneity, image theory and speculative realism and has been published in exhibition catalogues, edited volumes and academic journals. 

In 2017, she received the AICA France Art Criticism Award. From 2018-2019, she organized and moderated a conversation series with the artists of Galerie Jocelyn Wolff in Paris. Her curatorial projects include the following events and exhibitions:
Curator and moderator of the conference “Sound as a Weapon”, Palais de Tokyo, Paris, 2008
Co-curator of  ArchitecTones, a symposium on art and architecture, Arc-et-Senans, France, 2008 and 2009
Co-curator of the monthly online exhibition Le Répondeur, Palais de Tokyo, Paris, 2008-2011
Curator of the exhibition "The Garden of Forking Paths", Galerie Sobering, Paris, 2015
Curator and moderator of the symposium "The School of Kyiv: Art, Politics and Society", Villa Vassilieff, Paris, 2016
