Anna Peter-Breton, Hungary / France
Originally from Hungary and descendant of Kyrgyz nomads, Anna is a visual artist with an imagination rich in memories and encounters, forever infused within her spirit of travel. Based in Paris since 2008, she left behind a successful entrepreneurial career in the luxury sector to become a full-time artist.
Her joyful imagination takes the viewer to the most cherished places of her human and artistic journey. Whether it be a nude, a vanishing face, a cherry blossom or a landscape, her paintings are the expressions of her physical travels, as well as her inner journeys. They depict Anna’s deepest feelings and emotions linked to particular places or encounters. In her travel journals, watercolors are Anna’s way of recording and remembering charismatic figures and events. Her first solo exhibition “Voyages”, dedicated to her travels around the world, was held in Paris in 2018. The show toured the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna, Budapest and parts of Romania. She has recently began collaborating with various brands and NGOs for limited edition fashion items and capsule collections. Anna is represented by Gallery Sarto in Paris where she holds one solo show per year. Her published book series called “Voyage Amoureux” is available in several Parisian book shops and on her website. |
