Artistic Space
|
Although our residency program is not focused on art production, but rather on intercultural exchange, research and professional development, residents might be able to use a shared work space at FIAP centre when they are not busy exploring Paris.
Please note: access to this workspace is not guaranteed for each program and is subject to availability. The atelier space is conveniently located above the main staircase overlooking an outdoor terrace. There are three connected rooms, the largest room is 21 m2 and the two smaller rooms are 7.3 m2 each. The studios are surrounded by a larger meeting hall with more space for work and study. The space is equipped with natural light through north facing windows, cross ventilation, electrical outlets, tables, chairs, and easels. The space can comfortably accommodate up to 8 resident artists, and can be arranged based on the artists preferences and needs. If available, our residents have access to the shared studio space every day of the week. |

Additional Opportunity for Creation
For those artists interested in more arts production time, there is an opportunity to combine Art Research Residency in Paris with Creative Practice in a French countryside, at our residency partner La Porte Peinte Centre pour les Arts, located in Noyers sur Serein, a stunning medieval village in Burgundy.
Artists have the option to add 2 or 4 weeks before or after coming to Paris. La Porte Peinte Centre pour les Arts' primary aim is to provide artists in residence with a sanctuary for getting creative work done. Quiet time, and suitable work-space as fundamental to this aim. Inspiring surroundings, serendipitous encounters, and constructive critical support play an important role as well. While most LPP residencies are self-directed, they also offer mentored residencies and are well-equipped to work with emerging artists. For more information visit La Porte Peinte Centre pour les Arts website.
