L'AiR Arts virtual residency programme was born of creative solidarity during the global pandemic that hit in 2020. The programme offers continued connection and support through the exchange of ideas, memories and hopes between the past, current, and future residents of our residency in Paris.
This virtual component of the main residency programme provides participants in all stages of their careers with a further opportunity for intercultural exchange and connection. Residents have an opportunity to join a global community of peers committed to developing and expanding their practice by engaging online prior or after their physical residency in Paris.
The program offers participants a discursive platform to explore ideas in relation to their work. Similar to our in-person programmes in Paris, residents partake in online studio visits, participate in peer-to-peer conversations and presentations, and engage with curators to develop ideas, and insights that can be applied to the development of their practice and further professional engagement.
Our virtual residencies often result in online exhibitions and showcase projects allowing artists to present their work publically and to engage with a broader global community.
