L'AiR Arts Curated Professional Program
Drawing Research Residency
"L’AiR Arts Research Residency gave much more than I expected. The program was well rounded encompassing the Art History, Historical and Contemporary Exhibitions. Critical and constructive art evaluations and discussions were a major plus and a fantastic insight not only into my work but into the work of fellow artists. An invaluable residency that I thoroughly recommend."
- Julianne Ross Allcorn, Australia (Artist-in-Residence, 2019)
"By participating in this residency, I have experienced a new art world, and can now help other artists who are curious about international opportunities and want to participate in the program. I have grown a lot, as an artist and a member of
the international art world."
- Soyeon Na, South Korea (Artist-in-Residence, 2019)
"My experience at L’AiR Arts residence is an intensive immersion into a professional art environment and the opportunity to discuss my current practice with curators, gallery owners and colleagues, which allows me to adjust the direction of further work and gives a powerful impetus to the development of my art. The residency program involves daily visits to several exhibitions and events related to art, deep reflection and work in the studio. At the end of the program there is an opportunity to show my art to the public at open studios. The residence provides a holistic understanding of the processes occurring in the artistic environment, a huge amount of visual experience and a rethinking of my own creative path. This is exactly the place where the answers to questions that I as an artist, asked myself become clear. It changes the attitude towards art itself, making it possible to understand that art is not a closed and complex system of codes, but a vast world full of amazing people, discoveries and experience. L’AiR Arts is the best residency I've ever participated."
